Mechanical Drafter

A Mechanical Drafter is needed for a multinational package delivery and supply chain management company in the Atlanta, GA area. This role focuses on drafting and supporting equipment maintenance and facility operations, leveraging design tools like AutoCAD and SolidWorks, while assisting with compliance, project support, and vendor oversight.

responsibilities:

• Assist in identifying cost-effective corrective actions for damaged or worn equipment through historical analysis and collaboration with operations teams.
  
  
• Support facility and equipment maintenance, asset protection, and housekeeping to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  
  
• Oversee and inspect work quality of outside housekeeping vendors.
  
  
• Participate in environmental audits and ensure facility compliance.
  
  
• Deliver compliance training under some supervision.
  
  
• Draft feasibility studies and provide project support as needed by management.
  
  
• Perform conveyor system drafting using AutoCAD or similar software.
  
  
• Compute cost estimates for design alternatives and document the design process.

Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks (2D and 3D design software).
  
  
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project or Excel for project planning and tracking.
  
  
• strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, OneNote, Teams, and Outlook.

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred (field not specified, likely in engineering or drafting/design).
