Engineering Technician

Job Description

As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of thermal products from prototypes to flight hardware. You will provide design support and engage in tasks such as machining, system assembly, and testing of prototype and flight hardware. Collaborating closely with engineers, other technicians, and quality control personnel, you will help develop and test hardware used in the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and testing of thermal products from prototypes to flight hardware.
  • Provide design support and undertake machining, system assembly, and testing tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and quality control team members to develop and test aerospace hardware.
  • Troubleshoot issues and contribute to problem-solving for product and prototype manufacturing.
  • Maintain detailed records of assembly steps and testing.
  • Create data collection formulas from scratch in Excel.
  • Perform hands-on fabrication and troubleshooting of assembly processes and test stands.
Essential Skills
  • Certificate from a technical school or a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and basic shop tools such as drills, drivers, presses, mills, and lathes.
  • Experience with machining processes, including milling, turning, CNC machining, and precision measurement techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with soldering, brazing, and welding.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition and analysis.
  • Ability to maintain an effective working pace and contribute to project completion on-time.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience working on a manufacturing floor.
  • Ability to stay flexible and easily redirect efforts in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
