What Will You Do?
- Review and understand the drawings, submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs to schedule, manage, and coordinate current and upcoming construction activities
- Ensure project materials and workmanship meet project quality standards and scope of work
- Track and report daily job productions and activities
- Coordinate purchase orders for materials, safety supplies, and other site requirements
- Coordinate and schedule inspections by city officials and third party inspectors
- Communicate to team members and trades via email and in person meetings
- Coordinate with trade contractors and ensure they progress according to the project schedule
- Forecast material and man power needs for upcoming construction activities
- Effectively communicate with team members and trades, and follow up on outstanding items
- Document the construction progress and keep all parties informed on important issues
- Document construction deficiencies and manage completion of punch lists by trades
- Direct onsite laborers with daily tasks and ongoing clean-up efforts.
- Ensure all staff and contractors maintain a safe working environment according to company policies
- Aiding with health and safety inspections and ensuring that corrective action is taken to address identified hazards.
- Assisting in the investigation of all injuries and accidents and identifying their cause and corrective action.
- Assisting colleagues and clients with the successful development of safety plans, hazard assessments, risk registries/critical risk protocols and audits.
- Preparing and updating the emergency response plan as necessary.
- Developing weekly safety topics and ensuring that weekly meetings are documented.
- Aiding in the centralization of all site inspections, weekly reports, and OSHA reports.
- Ensuring all records are complete and in conformance with OSHA requirements.
What You Bring:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial construction related experience
- Experience overseeing high end multifamily projects an asset
- Certificate, University degree, or college diploma would be an asset
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour training certificate an asset
- Ability to lead a divers team of construction professional from preconstruction through project completion
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $110,000
