We are seeking a highly skilled Welder/Fabricator/Installer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in metalworking for a range of custom metalwork projects. The ideal candidate will be adept at fabricating and installing high-end metal work with delicate finishes, ensuring precision and care in every task.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate and install custom metalwork, including stairs, furniture, cabinets, doors, cladding, fascia, gutters, siding, and be able to handle high end surface treatments.
Familiarity with materials such as bronze, steel, brass, aluminum, and stainless steel, and understanding of their properties for cutting, forming, and finishing.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately to ensure project requirements are met.
Working closely with project managers and general contractors to complete jobs professionally and proficiently.
Moving and installing heavy large heavy finished goods while preserving delicate finishes.
Ensure all installations are square, level, plumb, and meet a high standard of
Perform tasks such as cutting, fitting and welding (MIG, TIG,) in the field.
At the shop: mill work, brake work, pyramid rolling, air hammers, polishing tools etc.
Troubleshoot and problem-solve on-site to address challenges like material inconsistencies or installation issues.
Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure project alignment and successful execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 10 years in architectural metalworking, with proven expertise in custom metal fabrication and installation.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and shop drawings, operating fabrication machinery (e.g., CNC machines, press brakes, plasma cutters), and performing welding and finishing tasks.
Physical Capability: Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials safely, with experience using forklifts and rigging equipment.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision to maintain high-quality finishes and ensure installations are level and plumb. Tolerances within 1/16
Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and devise solutions for unexpected challenges during fabrication or installation.
Communication: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and convey project updates effectively.
