Survey Technician in Hermiston,OR,US

Survey Technician: We are seeking applicants for a full time survey technician in our Ontario or Hermiston Oregon office. The successful applicant will demonstrate that they possess the experience to qualify for the position. Applicant will be expected to successfully operate Civil 3D, Topcon Equipment, Magnet software, follow office related survey procedures, and provide supervision/mentoring to survey crew members and be willing to help out in the field from time to time. Job Duties Under the direct supervision of our Licensed Professional Land Surveyor, successful applicant shall demonstrate proper surveying, research and calculations on a wide variety of jobs from field to finish. Knowledge of Civil 3D is required. Applicant will need to be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and clients of a wide variety, train/instruct survey crew on proper field procedures. Typical project types: 33% Surveys in support of engineering projects. 32% Rural boundary surveys and partition plat surveys. 25% Large Cadastral Surveys in rural and remote areas. 8% ALTA surveys, title research and support, expert witness. 2% Floodplain surveys & Bathymetric surveys Qualifications/Requirements Desired applicant shall be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, have a current driver's license in good standing. Applicant shall carry out assignments with project members and demonstrate advanced proficiency as well as health and safety awareness. Certifications Land Surveying Intern (LSI) preferred Certified Survey Technician (CST) preferred Ability to work towards obtaining PLS, preferred Working Conditions/Physical Requirements Primary working conditions are in an office environment. Applicant will occasionally be exposed to all weather elements.
