Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Description
This Senior Electrical Engineer position entails an on-site role at a datacenter campus, supporting ongoing construction activities. The role involves monitoring progress for compliance with construction documents, from initial stages through commissioning, and working closely with engineering, procurement, controls, and construction teams. The engineer will provide project management, technical direction, decision-making, and overall leadership throughout the construction lifecycle up to turnover. Responsibilities include supporting multi-discipline coordination, issue identification and resolution, continuous improvement efforts, and documenting project learnings for future designs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site electrical engineering and project management representative throughout the construction of a multi-year datacenter campus development.
- Perform regular site walks and site inspections to observe progress and review construction versus design intent.
- Review all benchmarking to ensure standards and quality are met and flag potential concerns for engineering review.
- Facilitate and participate in a close working relationship with all site personnel, attending construction-based quality and assurance meetings, schedule, and milestone review sessions.
- Monitor overall project management of Electrical and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) related risk items with Architectural Engineering (AE) subject matter experts.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, design guides/standards, sequences of operation, and commissioning documents for technical compliance.
- Support and oversee submittal reviews, Request For Invoice (RFI) responses, and commissioning activities.
- Facilitate timely response and enable seamless project execution.
Essential Skills
- 8 years of electrical engineering experience OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field AND 5 years of electrical engineering experience OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field AND 3 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience specific to datacenter electrical engineering.
- Experience reviewing construction drawings, project specifications, and equipment submittals against construction activities to track progress and review potential issues.
- Experience with the design and operation of electrical systems, power distribution systems, backup power systems, electrical power monitoring systems, control diagrams, sequence of operation for electrical controls systems, overall network architecture, and communication protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Possess a high level of understanding of commercial and industrial architecture and engineering with a primary focus on datacenter design.
- Knowledge of construction techniques and terminology, including the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and requirements documents.
- Working knowledge of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS).
- Excellent leadership competencies and a willingness to collaborate and work cross-functionally to maximize business results and positive customer experiences.
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, applicable at varying levels of business up to and including business executives.
- Ability to work with other technical and non-technical groups in a fast-paced environment with an even temperament.
- Methodical, detail-oriented, and possess an excellent work ethic.
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
