Job Description and Duties
Under the direction of the Senior Cost Estimator, the successful candidate will provide detailed cost estimates of construction for major hydraulic facilities and related improvements, provide construction planning and scheduling support to the Division, and perform a supporting role in the resolution of construction contractor claims. Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Our ideal candidate will be proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project and Primavera, HCSS HeavyBid, and have both scheduling and estimating experience on Construction projects, including Flood Control, Remediation, Restoration, and associated facilities. Experience with preparing preliminary and planning level estimates, and using drawings and specifications to prepare estimates is a plus. Candidates should possess excellent organization skills and should have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
