JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:-----Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and positioningthem in place.-----Set up, operate, and maintain the weldingequipment.-----Analyze drawings, blueprints, sketches, work orders,and safety data sheets to plan the layout, assembly, andoperations.--------Determine the appropriate welding equipment ormethod based on the requirements or project assignment.--------Weldcomponents using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment invarious positions.--------Check to ensure that all welds are tospecifications and defect free.-----Ensure that quality checklistsare completed, as each step is completed.-----------Work with avariety of metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainlesssteel.-----Prepare material surfaces to be welded to ensure thereis no slag, rust, grease, and there is no loose or thickscale.--------Inspect finished welding projects to ensure they meetquality standards and specifications.-----Maintain a safe and cleanworking environment by wearing PPE and complying with procedures,rules, and regulations.-----REQUIREMENTS:----- High School Diplomaor equivalent required; certification in welding from an accreditedintuition preferred.2+ years of welding experience required -preferably in a manufacturing or heavy equipmentindustry.--------Experience using 7024 welding rods and .045 wireMIG preferred.--Experience with welding machinery, electricalequipment, and any manual tools.---Knowledge of a variety ofdifferent welding techniques.-----Understanding of themanufacturing industry.-----High degree of accuracy and attentionto detail.Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to always ensurea safe workplace.-----Including experience with safety regulationsand necessary PPE requirements.--------Excellent hand-eyecoordination and manual dexterity.--------Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills.--Experience in reading and interpretingblueprints and designs.-----Accustomed to standing, walking,stooping, bending, twisting, kneeling, and working within tightspaces for the duration of the shift.-----SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.--------Theability to work independently as well as in a teamenvironment.--------Skilled at managing time and tasksindependently.-----Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a cleanand organized environment, promoting a culture of safety andcompliance.----Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environmentrequiring the employee to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch throughoutan 8-to-10-hour day.---Strength to carry product, equipment, andtools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100pounds.--Ability to work in both indoors and outdoors in allweather conditions.Ability to pass a background check and drugscreeningJTS is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.--Poweredby JazzHRPI32dfa9fab3d0-25...
