This role is responsible for preparing, fabricating,and cutting metal products for assembly using a variety of toolsand machines, such as presses, shears, saws, and lathes. Thisposition will be working daily on machines that prepare steel metalproducts for the assembly of our power packaging units, as well asmoving equipment and material with the assistance of aforklift.------In the fabrication department you are a crucial partof the manufacturing process.Who You Are:Detail Oriented: You mustpay close attention to the specifics and fine details of each taskat hand. Reliable: You must be able to get the job done withaccuracy, trustworthiness, and follow-through.Willing to Learn -You must be able to take on new tasks and ask questions. You mustbe excited to learn something new.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:--Install,align, and lock/flip specified punches, dies, or other fixtures inrams or bed of brake press, using hand tools such as dial calipersand inspection gauges.--Assemble lifts, positions, and remove workpieces from machinery.--Operate and maintain machinery andequipment, such as a Brake Sheet, Plasma Cutter, and a FiberLaser.----Operate CNC machines and other automated equipment toperform tasks with precision.Operate a circular--saw.Study shopdrawings, blueprints, work orders and production schedules todetermine specifications such as materials to be used, dimensionsand tolerances.--Set up and operate specialized equipment andtooling for fabrication of stainless sheet metalproducts.--Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other teammembers to achieve project goals.Lay-out and examine metal stock orwork pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications aremet.--Clean and lubricate the machines.--Knowledge of jobsitesafety and ability to always ensure a safeworkplace.REQUIREMENTS:--High School Diploma or--GED--isrequired.Management experience (preferred).3 - 5 years'experience--in a manufacturing or construction environment --3+years' experience--with operating press brake/shearAn understandingof proper use, cleaning, and lubricating of machines andtools.Experience using--roll tables and circular sawspreferred.Experience operating a forklift.--Good math skills andthe knowledge to read a tape measure.Experience--reading andapplying--a decimal chart as well as calculating circumference andbend radius is needed to be successful in this role.--SKILLS ANDABILITIES:Highly detail oriented, watching for quality and correctmeasurements with each piece.--Safely perform tasks in an efficientand productive and timely manner.Work in a team environment whereyou are reliable, responsible, and highly dependable.--Ability toread and understand tape measures and blueprints.--Adhere to safetyprotocols and maintain a clean and organized environment, promotinga culture of safety and compliance.----Ability to work in a heavymanufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand, stoop,kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day.---Strength tocarry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push orpull product up to 100 pounds.--Ability to work in both indoors andoutdoors in all weather conditions.Ability to pass a backgroundcheck and drug screeningAt JTS, we take pride in producinghigh-quality, American-made--products while providing a workplacewhere employees can thrive.
