Job Description
Clark Companies, a recognized leader in the design and construction of high-end outdoor athletic facilities, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Delhi, NY.
<p>
Position Overview:
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of approximately 80 vehicles and 80 pieces of heavy construction equipment. In addition, this position oversees the daily maintenance shop operations, ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are followed, and mechanical issues are resolved efficiently to minimize equipment downtime.
<p>
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety regulations;
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on heavy equipment, including excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, front loaders, haul trucks, skid steers, and ten wheelers;
Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to maximize equipment performance & longevity.;Coordinate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure equipment availability for active job sites;
Maintain detailed services logs, repair records, and equipment maintenance history;
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Skills & Knowledge:
Advanced knowledge of gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, & diagnostic tools;
Strong leadership, team coordination, and problem-solving abilities;
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings;
Welding experience preferred to fabricate and repair parts and equipment;
Valid drivers license required; CDL preferred.

Experience & Education:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment diesel systems;
Familiarity with equipment from manufacturers such as Bobcat, Caterpillar, Chevrolet, John Deere, and Kubota;
High School diploma or equivalent required.
<p>Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs;
Comfortable working in maintenance shop and outdoors, including travel to job sites for field repairs;
Position contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screening.

Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $30 - $35 per hour (based on experience);
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00am 5:00pm (subject to change);
Reports to: Gravel Operations Manager;
