Whether you're an experienced heavy equipment diesel mechanic or someone with a solid foundation in automotive repair looking to grow, we encourage you to apply.Position Overview:As a mechanic with Lazores Construction, youll play a key role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles and equipment, from pickups and trailers to bulldozers and excavators. This is a hands-on position that requires problem-solving, technical knowledge, and a strong work ethic.What You'll Be Doing:Diagnose and repair issues on diesel and gas-powered vehicles and equipmentPerform routine maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, and inspectionsDismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hand tools and hoistsTest machines and systems for proper performanceAdjust, maintain, and repair subassemblies such as transmissions and hydraulic systemsTroubleshoot and rewire electrical systems as neededRead and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprintsUse micrometers, gauges, and computerized diagnostic tools to assess partsFabricate or modify parts as necessary to complete repairsResearch, order, and manage parts inventoryMaintain accurate service records and follow a maintenance schedulePreferred Qualifications:General knowledge of automotive and diesel repairExperience with heavy equipment is a plus but not requiredAbility to read and interpret technical documentsFamiliarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systemsStrong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learnAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWhy Join Us?You'll be part of a close-knit team that treats each other like familyHands-on work with a variety of equipment and machineryOpportunities to grow your skills and take on new challengesA respected company with deep roots in the Akwesasne communityWere looking for someone who is ready to work hard, grow with us, and take pride in being part of the Lazores Construction family.To Apply:Call Laura at ...Email ... resume or drop off your resume at 431 Cook Road; Akwesasne, NY 13655
