PURCHASING MANAGER

Known for durability and easy maintenance, their offerings include home textiles like velvets and linens, as well as commercial-grade fabrics that are EPA-certified for disinfect ability. They emphasize eco-friendly materials and offer a range of products with high-quality designs for furniture retailers, interior designers, and trade professionals.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to manage the procurement of textile fabrics and related materials essential for a global manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will have experience in the textile industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to forecast material needs to ensure uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of textile materials

Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, aiming for favorable pricing and reliable supply chains

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to forecast material requirements

Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure materials arrive as scheduled

Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance

Collaborate with quality control to address any material discrepancies or issues

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the textile or manufacturing industry

Strong negotiation and communication skills

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance data

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with textile materials and manufacturing processes

Experience with ERP systems
