Marine Electrician

**Tradesmen International** is looking to expand our team of qualified Marine Trade Professionals for current & future projects in and around **Newport News, VA** . Most positions are first shift with a pay range of **$27.31/hour** based on experience plus **Per Diem** to qualified Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. **Job Scope** :

+ Troubleshoot Electrical Equipment and Circuits using Appropriate Test Equipment to Detect and Effect Required Maintenance, Repairs, or Replacement Requirements

+ Perform Maintenance and Repairs of Generators, Switchboards, ,Controllers Circuit Breakers, Electrical Motors, Distribution Panels, Alarm and Lighting Circuits

+ Conduct Insulation Resistance Measurements of Electrical Cables to Determine Condition and Effects Repairs or Replacements

+ Supervises and Participates in the Installation and/or Alteration to Electrical Systems and Aboard Ships

+ Maintain Adequate Inventories of Electrical Spare Parts and Requisitions Replacements

+ Maintain Electrical System Maintenance Histories, Notating Date and Extent of Repairs and/or Alterations

**Requirements:**

+ Tools for the Trade

+ Proper PPE

+ OSHA 10 is Preferred
