Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined individual to operate manual, semi-automatic, and automatic routers in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring product quality and consistency by following detailed instructions and maintaining precise tolerances. The role offers growth potential for candidates looking to advance into setup responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Input or download pre-defined programs into routers, following standard tooling procedures.

  • Operate machines within defined tolerances, adjusting stops and fixtures as necessary.

  • Visually inspect materials for conformity with work order details, checking for surface flaws like scratches or marring.

  • Use control consoles to check part positioning at reference points.

  • Interpret part drawings and utilize measuring instruments to inspect finished parts.

  • Identify and report machine malfunctions or tooling issues.

  • Complete required documentation and prepare machined parts for the next phase in the production process.

  • Load machines (e.g., ServoCam) with plastic bar stock to ensure continuous operation.

  • Perform frequent checks and re-checks of parts during machining to ensure precision and compliance.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, as well as use calipers and micrometers.

  • Familiarity with inspection report procedures and basic quality control practices.

  • Previous exposure to diversified manufacturing processes and numerically controlled machinery is highly desirable.

  • Willingness to grow within the organization, with potential advancement to a setup operator role.

The pay range for this role is $20hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
