Job Description


The Field Supervisor is required to monitor and ensure compliance by all staff to established Airport Customer Service Standards.

Responsibilities:

Preform rollcall and safety checks.

Maintain an orderly flow of passengers and taxicabs and oversee the movement and expeditious loading of Taxis.

Prevent soliciting of customers.

Maintain an orderly taxi line ensuring that all drivers are at the taxi stand line remain within the immediate proximity to their vehicles.

Advise customers of rules and regulations pertinent to the trip including the correct fare and meter rates to their destination.

Cooperate with Port Authority Police, Airport and/or PABT Supervisors and taxi commission agents in connections with the performance of the dispatcher duties provided herein.

Be familiar with, adhere to and enforce Taxi and Limousine commission rules and regulations.

When required issue Taxi Dispatcher program violation form against taxi drivers for violation of Taxi and Limousine commission rules and regulations.

Gather incident information, documents, prepare and review reports as needed. Submit tour reports as required.

Monitor the taxi hold lot and terminals for suspicious activity.

Enforce new COVID-19 safety and health procedures.

Drive company vehicles to and from the terminals.

Complete all tour reports and daily reports.

Must be fully capable of performing normal or emergency duties requiring moderate to arduous physical exertions such as:

o 1. Standing or walking an entire shift

o 2. Climbing stairs

o 3. Lifting and carrying baggage up to 50 lbs.

o 4. Exposure to severe weather conditions for an entire shift

Provide first- line supervisors of all taxi Dispatchers at our location to ensure safe, honest, and efficient service, which may include resolution of problems at the taxi queue and lines.

Ensure that proper daily staffing levels are maintained and available at all assigned billable posts.

Maintain communication with the Contractors Field Personnel or Supervisors by notifying all of unusual and hazardous situations covering our contracted parameters.

Address roll calls to ensure all staff are properly attired and briefed on the latest operational procedures. Documenting and provide them with the required equipment for performing their functions, Tablets, Two-way Radios etc.

Check the attendance of all subordinates, monitoring their ability to perform required duties. Ensuring that any employee deems to be unfit is not permitted to go on Post or duty before all deficient conditions are corrected even if it requires a managers immediate attention.

Instruct and train New Hires and existing ones with their duties, rules, and regulations. Ensuring that all operational procedures and instructions are properly carried out.

Maintain Accurate Logs including all required documentation of relevant daily activity.

Completion of Accidents, Employees injuries, Customers Injuries required forms/packages and notifying all appropriate personnel. Including the complete gathering of information needed for further investigation, such as statements, pictures etc

Preform any other related responsibilities or duties as required by the contractor by the facility manager or his/her designee.

Pay: $27.31 per hour.

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicants experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
