Job Title: Construction Project Engineer
Job Description
The Construction Project Engineer plays a crucial role in applying engineering theory and principles to solve problems related to industrial layout and manufacturing production. This position requires the ability to create engineering drawings and interpret blueprints effectively.
Responsibilities
- Study time-motion methods and speed involved in maintenance production and other operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
- Read worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications.
- Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.
- Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.
- Observe workers using equipment to verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards.
- Observe workers operating equipment or performing tasks to determine time involved and fatigue rate using timing devices.
- Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Essential Skills

- Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Experience with computer applications and software related to engineering, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 5-7 years of experience in construction management and document control.
- Experience in material management.
Work Environment
This role involves working in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and adherence to quality standards are paramount. The construction project engineer will engage with various engineering tools and software, including CAD, to ensure efficient workflow and production processes.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
