Project Engineer in Queens,NY,US

The Project Engineer must possess excellent communication and team building skills and the ability to work independently, collaboratively, with full transparency, as required by the client/project. To support and coordinate construction work, ensuring process conformance with contract documents and applicable standards. Work includes site office management, coordination and support of site meetings, processing and confirming site staff input to site management paperwork, managing the processing of requests for payments and/or additional compensation, coordination with facility operations and other stakeholders, and supporting the safety and quality of the work. Required Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, including o MS Word o MS Excel - including use if Tables, pivot tables and graphics o MS Access (For Ad hoc reporting, datastructures) o MS PowerPoint o Power BI - Principles of Data harvesting, Graphic Interface. Principles of communication of graphic information. o MS Teams o SharePoint Ability to QA/QC Plans, RFI's & submittals Familiarity/experience with contract management Familiarity with other Database Data sources, Data Structures Familiarity with SharePoint administration Qualifications: 5-10 years of relevant experience Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Cost Management, or other relevant construction or engineering field of study Project management skills, including skill to manage complex projects Skills in problem recognition/avoidance/resolution Possess a basic ability to read and construe legal documents including statues, orders, regulations, codes and contracts Strong verbal, written and numeracy skills in a client facing capacity including high level political acumen A demonstrated commitment to continuous focused learning and skill development, including emerging technologies and tools Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
