Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team, focusing on designing packaging and material handling equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a rapidly growing environment and gain real-world skills with comprehensive training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Design conveyor systems, machine design, and packaging equipment.
  • Develop mechanical design solutions for material handling equipment.
  • Create shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
  • Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMS) for large systems.
  • Utilize Solidworks for 2D drafting and 3D design.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks is ideal.
  • Experience with 2D drafting and 3D design.
  • Ability to detail large systems.
  • Experience in creating shop drawings and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong academic performance with a GPA of 3.5 or higher is preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in conveyor systems and machine design.
  • Knowledge of packaging and material handling equipment.
  • Experience with large systems engineering.
  • Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMS).
  • Education from top-ranked schools is advantageous.
Work Environment

The role is based in a brand new facility that is expanding rapidly. Initially, you may work out of a trailer until the new facility is completed. This position offers consistent business opportunities with a large backlog, providing mobility across various business units and potential for upward progression. Dress code and specific working hours will be discussed during the interview process.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
