Electrician Employee Type Regular Office/Department Facilities Work Environment Loyola University Maryland Main Campus Job Type Full time Benefits at Loyola Compensation Range $27.20 - $34.00 Anticipated Start Date 05/28/2025 If Temporary or Visiting, Estimated End Date Position Duties The purpose of this position is to provide general electrical maintenance services to the campus. The Electrician will be responsible for performing the following duties: Repair, install, replace and test electrical circuits, equipment, fixtures and appliances using hand tools and testing instruments. Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, observe functioning of installed light bulbs and ballast equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation and/or replacement Perform preventive maintenance on generators, elevators and lighting systems. Replace faulty switches, receptacles, circuit breakers and other simple elements of electrical systems and appliances. Assist with projects involving electrical staff. Estimate materials needed and record time and materials expended on each work order as required. Assist with snow/ice removal campus wide as required and directed. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role. High School diploma, or GED. 1-3 years of relevant experience. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays as required. Must be able to successfully complete driver's clearance process.
