Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a qualified Construction Engineer to join our team in Transportation group in Latham, New York. We are looking for someone who has experience working on New York State bridge and highway projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Managing complex projects with minimal supervision, demonstrating high levels of autonomy and expertise.
- Assisting project managers in overseeing project operations and ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Monitoring and reporting on construction progress, maintaining detailed records and documentation.
- Participating in project meetings, providing valuable input and representing the company's interests.
- Coordinating and supervising field inspectors to ensure thorough and consistent site evaluations.
- Conducting field inspections and documenting Contractor activities in collaboration with the Project Management team.
- Performing field measurements and quantity calculations with precision and accuracy.
- Maintaining effective communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Leading and mentoring a team of engineers and professional support personnel to achieve project objectives.
- Ensuring strict adherence to approved plans and specifications, maintaining the highest standards of quality control.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS + four years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- NICET certificate: Highway Construction Inspection Level III.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with NYS highway/bridge construction and maintenance projects.
- Extensive knowledge of highway/bridge design, construction and material.
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
- Relocation is not available for this position.
