The Project Coordinator applies sound and diversified knowledge of design, construction, engineering and business practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. The Project Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating and managing various aspects of construction projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality projects within scope, budget, and schedule. They work closely with clients, end users, stakeholders, contractors, and 3rd parties that are involved with projects in support of Project/Construction Managers on their team. Typical duties and responsibilities may include one or more of the following: assess existing conditions, scope projects, coordinates, organizes, prepares, reviews, communicates, collaborates, researches, and supports Project Manager(s), Construction Manager(s), Inspectors and client(s).JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Architecture or ConstructionGeneral construction knowledge preferredProficient skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, web-based document control systems, relevant applications preferredUnderstand building, project site systems, and construction methods preferredExceptional customer service skills in serving clientsProficient in communication, coordination, and organization skillsSelf-starter with initiative, responsiveness, with strong follow-throughCreative, collaborative and a team playerAbility to work with minimal supervisionAble to read and understand project contracts, specifications, and drawings preferredAble to travel to different work sitesAbility to work outside with increased noise levelsAbility to work outside occasionally in environmental, atmospheric, and sometimes hazardous conditionsAbility to work outside in all weather conditionsAbility to lift and/or move up to 20 poundsAbility to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, reach, finger, or grasp, feel, talk, hear, and to do repetitive motionPositive service-oriented attitude toward the firm, our employees, and the clientsESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Ensure contractor compliance to the contract documents/requirementsKnow the client's CM contract requirementsAble to document construction activitiesRegularly review Project Inspector Daily Reports for accuracy and thoroughnessConduct weekly progress (OAC) meetings and write up minutesProvide support to Clients in all required facetsBe the liaison between the Client and ContractorCoordinate projects with Clients, Contractors, and 3rd parties involved with the projects (e.g., Fire Department, BOW, HECO, and DOT)Collaborate with contractors and subcontractorsCoordinate project and schedule updates and workforce schedulingReview and process design requirements- RFI's, submittals, project changesFollow established filing systems, tracking logs, and archiving standard as set forth by BKCoordinate Field Inspectors and ensure all pertinent information is passed on and notedProficient in reading and comprehending plans and specs, be able to make connections between field plans/specs preferredPerform work site visits and maintain logsResearch and respond to RFIs as neededPrepare weekly and monthly reportsPerform other duties as assignedDEPARTMENT: Construction ManagementLOCATION: Honolulu, Maui, & Hilo, HISALARY RANGE: $55,000 - 75,000 per year depending on experiencePlease apply directly online at: www.bowersandkubota.com Equal Opportunity Employer/Vets/Disabled100% Employee Owned
