Fire Systems Apprentice**
**Job Description**
The Fire Systems Apprentice will assist the lead technician in various job duties related to fire protection systems, including electrical installation, pipe fabricating, system installations, and servicing/testing of fire alarm and fire suppression systems. This is a hands-on position with the opportunity for on-the-job training and career advancement in the fire protection industry
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist lead technician with the review and understanding of new project information
+ Use hand and power tools for mechanical work and installation tasks
+ Pull wire through conduit, walls, and drop ceilings as part of system installations
+ Bend, cut, and install conduit following the NEC code
**Additional Qualifications:**
Previous experience in fire alarm or fire suppression is a plus
Basic understanding of electrical systems and familiarity with electricity fundamentals
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overnight shifts if required
Relevant certifications such as NICET, OSHA, BICSI, ICC, or Electrician License are a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school experience is an advantage
Basic understanding of blueprints and wiring schematics
Ability to work well in a team setting and maintain a positive, professional attitude
Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a drug screening

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.
