We are seeking a Field Automation Supervisor to join our dynamic team. Initially, you will coordinate with our design team in Conshohocken, PA, before transitioning to the field in Wilson, NC. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a global team of engineers and designers to deliver a cutting-edge manufacturing facility.
As an Field Automation Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical quality of complex engineering tasks while becoming familiar with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You will provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with staff members and discipline leads, and interact directly with clients, owners, and contractors to support construction on site.
Your responsibilities include:
Responsible for project management oversight & direction of the automation hardware & software design, development, testing and delivery for the Execution Systems (ES) at the new Large Molecule Drug Substance Manufacturing facility at the Wilson, NC, USA campus. Will need to interface routinely with Clients SMEs, System Vendors, System Integrators
Develop an overall ES project schedule and project management plan.
Ensure all ES pre-requisites are ready for ES deployment & execution, i.e.: Electrical, Data Center, IDF, network, instrument air, etc.
Manage field activities & coordination to enable on-time execution of ES/IT scope to achieve GMP calibrations, Loop Checks, and C&Q readiness.
Drive accountability of all team members (including system vendors & integrators) and enable escalation of risks and issues that require attention.
Ensure that both internal resources from clients SMEs and external resources are dedicated to fulfilling project delivery requirements.
Ensure delivery of committed scope, approved budget and targeted dates by developing & reporting on KPIs & milestones.
Enable and enhance communications between matrixed IT, business and vendor teams.
Monitor & track changes (during field installation) and ensure appropriate ES SMEs & AE are aware & endorse the changes. Ensure all changes are tracked & follow Project Change Control procedures.

Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering
At least 10 years in a leadership role implementing instrumentation, control systems, programming and design of automated solutions
Must have Experience with DeltaV process automation implementation and familiarity with Siemens S7 hardware.
Knowledge of Automation System Validation is a plus
Construction experience with direct activities to ensure that the construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements.
This position requires to be hybrid in initially in Conshohocken, PA and eventually onsite in North Carolina
Ideally, youll also have:
Strong skills managing projects in the field
Experience with programming or design or automation systems or robotics
Must also be proficient in Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio), AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revizto (3-D model viewer) and Bluebeam Revu.
