Civil Construction Inspector
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Construction Inspector to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications. The role involves inspecting construction work, reviewing plans for potential violations, documenting inspections, and determining the quality of materials used through testing.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications.
  • Inspect all materials upon arrival at the jobsite to ensure compliance.
  • Review plans to identify potential violations.
  • Document inspections and report any issues.
  • Determine the quality of materials being used through testing.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Construction Inspector for site/civil projects.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification.
  • Experience supporting sewers, watermains, and road reconstruction projects.
  • Government agency project experience (DDC, DOT, MTA, DEP, etc.).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Construction scheduling knowledge to support the project team.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procedures.
Work Environment

The work site is a DDC project located in Red Hook, Brooklyn. You will be working collaboratively with a team of inspectors and project managers. This firm operates as a fully integrated, multi-discipline AEC firm with strong opportunities for upward mobility and growth. The pay range for this position is $83000.00 - $108000.00/yr.
