Project Manager

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning and execution of business-critical telephony/video infrastructure projects. This position requires managing a range of responsibilities from vendor coordination to budget management, primarily focusing on delivering services within the networking and telecommunications industry. The role is based on site in NYC, and the successful candidate will manage medium to large scale projects or multiple smaller initiatives that require precision and advanced project management skills.

Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive project schedules and plans, outlining financial, resource, and material requirements.

Lead the preparation of proposals and agreements, ensuring all project aspects are aligned with business goals.

Direct and oversee project teams, including engineers, vendors, partners, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.

Handle the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion, including the resolution of any issues and ensuring projects meet their objectives.

Manage project budgets, maintaining accountability for expenses and cost projections throughout the project duration.

Deliver presentations on service business value to customers for new or existing business engagements.

Optimize ongoing service delivery and customer network post-deployment, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Maintain a customer satisfaction score of 4.5 or higher, reflecting exceptional project management and customer service.

Qualifications:

BS/BA degree or equivalent in a related field; additional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE 2, or equivalent) is highly preferred.

Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in networking/telecommunications industry with a focus on LAN and/or WAN network implementation and support.

At least 2-3 years in a dedicated Project Management role, managing large-scale and high-visibility projects.

Proven ability to create detailed project plans and schedules that meet stakeholder requirements.

Strong leadership skills with experience managing large project teams and strategic account teams.

Advanced negotiation, communication, and presentation skills are essential.

Understanding of routing, routing protocols, switching, internet, and general network architecture.

Knowledge of the sales process, including risk assessment and scoping projects.

Legal acumen with regards to contract management and compliance in a commercial environment.
