Duties/Responsibilities: Inspect automated machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure functionality. Calibrate, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on various types of electrical and mechanical equipment. Ability to prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activities. Ensure quality standards are always met. Assist in the assembly, installation, and maintenance of automated systems according to specifications. Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues. Conduct routine maintenance and quality checks on automated systems to uphold standards. Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures. Assist in planning and scheduling repairs and maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment and supplies. Adhere to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), safety standards and policies to maintain a safe working environment. Required Skills/Abilities: Strong knowledge of automation systems, including process control, instrumentation, and servo-driven systems with ladder logic. Proficiency in calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment. Ability to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks effectively around production activities. Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in using hand and power tools for maintenance and repairs. Excellent problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail, especially in ensuring quality standards. Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with team members. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and processes in automation and mechanical systems. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Vocational/Trade training or an Associates degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in automation and mechanical systems required. Experience with preventative maintenance programs and automation troubleshooting preferred.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and other manufacturing conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods. Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support production demands.
