Overview** **Job Summary Details:** Elevator Operators will be focusing on overseeing the loading and unloading of freight, carts, trash and other miscellaneous items from one freight elevator per shift. They are to determine the weight of the freight being moved to make sure it fits the space as well as abide by the weight guidelines. This is to prevent down time or damage and to successfully deliver to the correct floor. For information about ABM's benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits | Front Line Team Members ( | (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) **Requirements:** + **Bilingual in English** **Qualifications** + Must be 18 years of age or older. + Must meet all requirements to receive required site badges, including successful completion of a background check. **Work Location:** 1 Tesla Rd, Austin, TX 78725 + Day opening (Thursday- Saturday) with every other Wednesday (5:00 am - 5pm) **Essential Functions** + Communicate professionally at all times with client, teammates and other contractors. + Employee is responsible for operating freight elevators in assigned location. Daily areas are subject to change on any given day depending on the need. + Employee is further responsible for the safe transportation, loading, and unloading of freight and materials in their assigned elevator. + Complies with all safety, security, compliance and safety standards and procedures established by ABM and our Client. **Responsibilities** + Maintaining the wellbeing, cleanliness and function of all freight elevators. + Communicate daily with shift supervisor. + Any down time or issues accruing on the elevators must be reported immediately. + Prevention of damage and unbalancing of elevator. + Monitoring QR receipts at each location. These are used for every shipment brought onto the freight. Checking each person's cellphone will be required to validate the movement of the freight. + Evaluating the weight of freight to make sure we are not over regulations. + Redirecting overweight/unauthorized vehicles from entering the elevator. + Overseeing and directing the SLOW loading and off-loading of materials. + Other Duties - Depending on the assigned area and the number of teammates, an employee may be responsible for any or all the following tasks in any designated area: cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping and dusting of your assigned elevator. Duties may also change throughout the employee's employment. A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
