CNC Set-Up Operator

Now Seeking a CNC Set-Up Operator! Job Description We are a manufacturer specializing in metal fabrication, using CNC-operated machines to produce various coil lengths and dimensions. We seek a dedicated employee to train on setting up, operating, and maintaining several different machines in our small shop setting. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes, milling machines, and electrical discharge machines (EDM). Interpret and follow verbal instructions, drawings, and blueprints to ensure accurate production. Program CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling. Replace tooling in the machines as necessary between runs. Perform test runs to ensure machines are producing outputs according to specifications. Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery to ensure optimal functionality. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies. Complete necessary documentation, including job cards, inspection reports, and production logs. Essential Skills Experience in a manufacturing/production environment. Strong attention to detail and desire to learn. Some experience setting up CNC machinery preferred. Basic programming knowledge preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical Troubleshooting. Blueprint reading. Experience with grinders and machining. Work Environment Work in a metal fabrication and CNC machining environment. The training period lasts about 90 days, during which you will collaborate closely with the supervisor daily on the floor. The schedule is Monday to Thursday (7 AM - 3 PM) and Friday (6 AM - 2 PM), with occasional overtime on weekends as needed. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
