We are currently partnering with a leading engineering firm to find a skilled Civil Construction Inspector for an exciting infrastructure project in Red Hook, Brooklyn. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in site/civil construction who are passionate about quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with building codes and project specifications.
- Review construction plans to identify potential code violations or discrepancies.
- Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet required standards.
- Perform material testing to assess quality and suitability.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and report any issues or non-conformities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- At least 4 years of experience in civil/site construction inspection.
- OSHA 30-hour safety certification.
- Proven experience with sewer, watermain, and road reconstruction projects.
- Familiarity with projects involving public agencies such as DDC, DOT, MTA, or DEP.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and procedures.
- Ability to support project scheduling and coordination efforts.
