Civil Inspector

We are currently partnering with a leading engineering firm to find a skilled Civil Construction Inspector for an exciting infrastructure project in Red Hook, Brooklyn. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in site/civil construction who are passionate about quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with building codes and project specifications.
• Review construction plans to identify potential code violations or discrepancies.
• Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet required standards.
• Perform material testing to assess quality and suitability.
• Maintain detailed inspection records and report any issues or non-conformities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• At least 4 years of experience in civil/site construction inspection.
• OSHA 30-hour safety certification.
• Proven experience with sewer, watermain, and road reconstruction projects.
• Familiarity with projects involving public agencies such as DDC, DOT, MTA, or DEP.

Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and procedures.
• Ability to support project scheduling and coordination efforts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $83000.00 - $108000.00/yr.
