Job Summary:
The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction sites, coordinating subcontractors and trades, enforcing safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects remain on schedule and within scope. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all phases of construction from planning to completion.
Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
Ensure adherence to project timelines, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Conduct daily site walkthroughs and meetings to monitor progress and resolve issues.
Maintain accurate records including daily reports, inspections, schedules, and logs.
Enforce job site safety compliance in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policy.
Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and inspectors.
Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Identify and address potential delays or budget issues proactively.
Ensure materials and equipment are delivered and installed on time.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a superintendent in the construction industry.
Proven experience managing commercial or residential construction projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety practices, building codes, and scheduling.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project) a plus.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
