Construction Safety Manager Job Description We are seeking a Construction Safety Manager to be based onsite at our facility near Fort Dodge, IA. This role involves supervising and coordinating the activities of production and operating workers, ensuring that safety standards are met across all operations. Responsibilities Implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems. Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing these systems to detect production problems. Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, as well as resolve personal grievances. Set and monitor product standards to ensure quality finished products. Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records. Essential Skills Strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively. Comprehensive knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Proficiency in the use of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance. Expertise in design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. An Associate's degree in business or a related field is preferred. 5 years of experience in project management, construction, site development, and safety management. Experience in data center construction, NFPA 70E, construction management, and program management. Strong collaboration skills and emotional intelligence. Work Environment Monday through Friday day shift schedule. The role requires the use of specific equipment and involves working in a structured and collaborative environment.
