The contribution you will bring to this role:

As a Planner / Scheduler at Hughes Safety Showers, NA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting production operations and delivering high-quality products to customers. Reporting to the General Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges, improve efficiency, and ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time and within budget. This is a dynamic role that offers opportunities for professional growth and exposure to the wider executive team.

This role will assist with Inventory Control and assist management, maintenance, operations, and sales with scheduling issues. This position will ensure that appropriate inventory levels are met and utilize our ERP system to make sure that production planning includes capacity, demand, supply, and inventory analysis in creating production schedules. Weekly and monthly reports will be prepared and published to track the status of performance.

About the team:

As a member of our Supply Chain team, you’ll have the opportunity to work with industry-leading suppliers and logistics partners, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products that keep our customers safe. Our supply chain team is dedicated to optimizing processes, reducing lead times, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to meet our high standards of quality and reliability. What you will do at Justrite:

  • To communicate Lead Times to the Sales department
  • To maintain Capacity Plan and communicate accordingly
  • To manage the Planning schedule to meet delivery expectations; includes sequencing labor and material requirements
  • To communicate with Purchasing to ensure timely material flow and resolve material shortages
  • To communicate with Engineering to resolve any build issues identified in the planning stage
  • To communicate with Production to determine the plan for Build/Bought items
  • To Create Job files containing all documentation needed for build
  • To Create the Works Order Plan for distribution
  • To work with purchasing to ensure Sub Con processes are actioned in a timely manner
  • To review and action make recommendations in Global Shop in line with the production schedule
  • To ensure stock is fully allocated to a WO before Pick List generation
  • To print pick lists and support spare part packing with process timelines
  • To Report against KPIs in management business review and countermeasure where necessary
  • To assist with the Project Engineering team to co-ordinate larger projects, relating to orders, to determine project objectives and timetable and to ensure that all objectives are met within agreed timescales and budgets
  • To Comply to the Health and Safety and Environmental policies and management systems at all times
  • 70% of time spent on shop floor

Your skills and expertise:

  • Track record in a similar role with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-variation, low-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with a methodical approach and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and their integration with various departments in an engineered solutions business

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Proficiency in IT tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats across diverse audiences.
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing techniques.
  • Interest in leveraging new technology to optimize processes.

The position offers a competitive base salary and will be eligible to participate in the Justrite Sales Incentive Plan which offers a big opportunity to enhance the total compensation package.
