Steuben County Public Works Seeking Motor Equipment Operator For Multiple Locations

*CONTINGENT-PERMANENT:(Permanent pending successful probationary term of the promoted individuals who last occupied these positions.)

SALARY: $42,551 - $52,713 Annually, depending on experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Either:

(a) Two years of full time or equivalent part time paid experience in the operation of automotive equipment used in road construction and/or maintenance activities; or

(b) Five years of full time or equivalent part time paid experience in the operation of tractor-trailer trucks or tandem dump trucks.

NOTE: Appropriate vocational education and/or training may be substituted for years of experience on a year-to-year basis. Equivalent experience using agricultural equipment will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT(S) Possession of a valid New York State Class B Commercial Driver License is required for appointment and must be maintained on a continuous basis throughout the term of appointment.
