In this hands-on role, the Mechanical Design Engineer will collaborate with a talented team of designers and engineers to develop smart, efficient, and reliable solutions. Your insights and decisions will contribute to solving real-world challenges and pushing the boundaries of innovation. You'll help lead and guide the design team to meet both customer requirements and manufacturing goals. This is a great opportunity to apply your engineering judgment and technical expertise to moderately complex mechanical design challenges. You'll support analysis, testing, and integration of mechanical systems-with guidance from senior engineers.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
- Perform Engineering design calculations in support of product design requirements.
- Communicate product design requirements to the Designer Team and approve drawings, models prepared by the Designer Team prior to release.
- Document and communicate results of technical data generated
- Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives including Cost Out and Standardization
- Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Test, Aftermarket & Field Service, as required.
- Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Rotating Machinery, or related field).
- 4+ years of years of experience in an engineering role of OEM equipment.
- 3+ years of experience with with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Core Competencies:
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of engineering principles, CAD software, and industry standards.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues creatively and effectively.
- Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects with strong organizational skills.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability and Innovation: Flexibility to adapt to changes, openness to new ideas, and drive for continuous improvement.
Preferences:
- Rotating machinery design experience
- Fluid systems design experience
- Knowledgeable with Solidworks & ePDM, or equivalent
- Basic AutoCAD 2D/3D and FEA knowledge
- Experience with project management and lean manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
