CEI Construction Inspector

Position Overview: Insight Global is seeking a dedicated and experienced CEI Construction Inspector to join a the Construction Management organization of a large engineering consulting company in Howey in the Hills, Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct on-site inspections of construction activities, including grading, compaction, and soil stabilization. Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and FDOT standards. Monitor and enforce traffic control measures in construction zones. Oversee stormwater management and erosion control measures. Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation. Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to resolve issues and ensure project progress. Verify final project estimates and ensure accuracy in project documentation and financial reporting. Skills and Requirements - 5+ Construction Inspection Experience -Mandatory Certifications: FDOT Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Certification, Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Inspector Certification, FDOT Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I and II (CTQP) - H.S. Diploma or equivalent Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and equipment. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
