Overview of the Position:
The Technician I will perform a variety of aircraft component repair processes under supervision, in accordance with approved documentation, PHS/MWA procedures, and applicable FAA regulations. Has limited relevant training or work experience at the business. Works under close supervision with little autonomy. Works with clearly defined methods and tasks that are described in detail. The Technician I has the responsibility and authority to perform assigned tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform and properly document part maintenance functions under guidance, to include: disassembly, cleaning, inspections, WO evaluation, ordering required parts, piece part repair, and testing, in compliance with specific approved documentation and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure training records are created whenever OJT training is initiated, and ensuring completed records when proficiency is established.
- Perform all tasks in a manner that complies with PHS safety and employee policies.
- Identify and request consumables or tooling needed in the repair process prior to needing it (if applicable).
- Perform other tasks, as required.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic electrical and / or mechanical knowledge preferred, or willingness and ability to learn, with Positive and Ambitious Outlook. Mechanic stamp acquired within 6 months.

- Work overtime as required by production requirements with or without notice.
- Must be capable of safely using standard tools to include, but not limited to; screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets and sockets, torque drivers and wrenches, multi-meters, soldering irons, micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, flow meters, psi gauges, temperature measurement, safety wire pliers, or any other tool required for a particular maintenance function.
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills: Basic skills including ability to become proficient in job related use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Quantum ERP System
