Job Overview:
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support a wide range of aerospace engine programs at our customer"s site in Oklahoma City. This role is essential to the sustainment and service of critical propulsion systems, including those used by the U.S. Air Force. The position focuses on hands-on inspection, data trend analysis, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure fielded hardware meets operational and serviceability standards.
The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical aptitude, a background in aerospace or MRO, and a drive to support critical sustainment efforts through precision inspection and timely data reporting.
Responsibilities:
* Perform detailed hardware inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision hand tools.
* Document and trend inspection findings to identify component patterns and support engineering analysis.
* Read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation, including GD&T.
* Report findings to engineering leadership and collaborate on corrective actions or sustainment initiatives.
* Support fast-paced, critical-turnaround components in both individual and team environments.
* Engage with the customer on-site, acting as a technical liaison and ensuring high levels of responsiveness.
Core Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
* 1-3 years of aerospace experience preferred.
* Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and specification adherence.
* Experience using hand tools for mechanical inspection (e.g., micrometers, calipers, bore gauges).
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
* Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
* Proactive, efficient, and entrepreneurial mindset.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience in aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) environments.
* Active or previous Secret Security Clearance strongly preferred.
