Construction Superintendent

Job Description:

• Responsible for overall project success including but not limited to day-to-day field operations, safety, schedule, and quality

• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings

• Investigate, document, and resolve day-to-day field issues

• Complete accurate job and progress reports and other job-related project documentation

• Develop schedules and determine sequencing of work, identify and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule

• Provide daily correspondence to the Project Manager related to progress and performance.

• Maintain professional working relationships with Owners, Engineers, and Subcontractors

• Ability to lead weekly project meetings with Owners and Subcontractors

• Organizing daily activities based on the goals of the project

• Locations: 2 projects at Indiana Area School District, Indiana, PA and Conemaugh School, Johnstown, PA. Will need to be prepared to go between the two sites every day.

Qualifications :

• Minimum 5 years Construction Superintendent experience.

• Ability to work with and knowledge of multiple construction trades

• Ability to proficiently work with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, and Excel

• Have driver's license and own transportation

• Ability to work all shifts and days

• Have a mobile phone

• Some large-scale construction supervision experience to serve as the rep on these projects

• Prefers someone who has recently worked in PA schools and has already cleared the background screenings required for PA School Districts (FBI Check, PA State Police Check, PA Child Abuse Check).

• MEP project experience, but will accept someone with large construction project oversight experience

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
