Quality Assurance Engineer job summary:

Ensures compliance with standards, identify issues, recommend solutions, and create quality documentation.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives regarding quality issues and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.

Perform supplier audits.

Collaborate with team as necessary in performing and generating 5 Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFEMA, CP, SPC, MSA)

Generate, document, and submit FAIR.

Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects as needed, representing quality assurance and the customer.

Serve as the primary quality assurance resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, validation, and continuous improvement.

Review suppliers purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.

Compile, write, and deliver training material on quality standards and activities if necessary.

Position Skills and Experience Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelors degree in engineering or related field (desired).

Ability to solve routine design and engineering tasks with some assistance.

Basic understanding of engineering and mathematics principles.

Understand interpretation of drawings, specifications, blueprints, etc.

Strong analytical, problem solving, and teamwork skills.

Cost Savings Improvements

Excellent time management, prioritization abilities, and strong project management skills

Ability to develop and implement strategies.

Ability to work with and manage complexity/change.

Demonstrated ability to make tough decisions.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Corrective action follows through with suppliers.

Familiar with SPC, Six Sigma, Process Capability Study

Experience with Continuous improvement

Ability to use MS Office Tools such as Word, Excel, SAP, and MiniTab.

Confidence and ability to make recommendations as needed.

*SALARY QUALITY ENGINEER UP TO $100,000 YEARLY
