Fabricator Job Description As a Fabricator, you will spend the majority of your day welding plates to beams and columns on steel that will be used in large structures across the country. Your work will primarily involve Flux-core and MIG welding on rails and stairs. Responsibilities Weld plates to beams and columns using Flux-core and MIG welding techniques. Ensure all welds are perfect, as the product is structural steel. Read and interpret welding blueprints and weld symbols accurately. Measure materials using a tape measure with precision. Essential Skills 1+ years of experience in MIG Welding and Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW). Ability to read welding blueprints and weld symbols. Proficiency in using a tape measure accurately. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in structural welding or equivalent schooling is highly preferred. Knowledge of fabrication and blueprint reading. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work the 1st shift from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 5:30 am to 3:00 pm on Fridays, with a mandatory 49-hour work week. The facility resembles a large steel mill, focusing on the fabrication of large structural beams.
