Job Summary:
These installers will assist with installing electrical wiring, electrical components and systems on new fire trucks and police vehicles during manufacturing. Components are mostly DC, but A/C knowledge and experience will be needed. Also applies automotive electrical knowledge and experience for input into design of electrical systems. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.
Day to Day:
-Safety First: Ensure all electrical work meets the highest standards of safety and compliance with NFPA and OEM standards.
-Innovate and Create: Layout and install advanced electrical systems for custom fire apparatus, including wiring, lighting, and control systems.
-Hands-On Excellence: Install, test and troubleshoot electrical components and systems in custom built fire apparatus.
-Documentation: Create detailed electrical schematics for each custom apparatus.
-Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to seamlessly integrate electrical systems.
-Stay Ahead: Keep up with the latest advancements in electrical technology and fire apparatus standards.

Skills and Requirements
Must Haves:
3+ years of experience in electrical/electronics in the automotive field.
Would consider greener candidates if they are sharp/ready to learn.
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of 12V electrical systems.
Whelen Cencom Programming experience.
Or any relative engineering programming platform.
Proficiency in creating electrical schematics.
Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Reliable, professional, and positive attitude.
Ability to work fully onsite in Long Island office. Plusses:
Two-way radio installation and repair experience.
