Welder Job Description Join a rapidly growing company, constructing a new facility three times larger than the current one. Specializing in structural and miscellaneous steel, we are seeking skilled welders to become part of our second team of installers and field welders for diverse projects ranging from commercial buildings to intricate handrails. We offer opportunities for growth and leadership development as we expand in the industry. Responsibilities Perform structural and miscellaneous steel welding on various projects. Work with MIG (Bare Wire and Flux Core) and Stick welding techniques. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate welding and fabrication. Participate in the installation and erection of steel structures. Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment. Measure and layout work accurately using a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch. Travel to different job sites daily and work in the field and shop as needed. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years welding experience in MIG and Stick techniques. Experience in structural steel welding. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using hand tools. Possession of an OSHA 10 certification, preferably OSHA 30. Ability to bring own welding hood, hand tools, and PPE. Trainable with a willingness to learn and grow within the company. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in miscellaneous steel welding is a huge plus. Layout experience is highly beneficial. Certifications in all forms for stick welding. Experience in steel erection and layout in the field. Ironworker experience and general knowledge of the industry. Why Work Here?
