Hiring for a Construction Administrator in Berlin! Job Description Join a leading Connecticut steel fabrication provider specializing in the design, construction, delivery, and installation of metal structures. This position offers the opportunity to work with a trusted business in the steel industry, making an indispensable impact on structural steel projects. Responsibilities Maintain and organize project files, including contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and progress reports. Review and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. Facilitate communication between project team members, clients, and other stakeholders. Maintain subcontractor information and ensure adherence to building codes, permits, and regulatory requirements. Provide general administrative support to the project team, including managing correspondence and scheduling meetings. Collect, verify, and track the validity of COIs from subcontractors and vendors. Request, collect, and maintain W-9 forms from all vendors and subcontractors. Handle lien waivers, subcontractor invoicing, and payments. Essential Skills Document control Project coordination Construction administration Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel Subcontractor management - Payroll, invoicing, documentation Administrative support Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Business Experience in steel construction Work Environment The position is based in Berlin, CT, with office hours from 7am to 3pm, offering flexibility. The role is on-site at a newly acquired 6.2-acre facility, which is currently undergoing renovations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team at the ground floor and work directly with the owner in a dynamic environment.
