What You'll Do:
  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal parts

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

What We’re Looking For:
  • 2+ years of experience operating a press brake machine (Amada, Cincinnati, or similar)

  • Good understanding of shop math and metal fabrication

  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools

  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, or straighten metal sheets and parts according to blueprints, work orders, and specifications.

  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machine settings and material requirements.

  • Select and install appropriate tooling and dies based on material type, thickness, and part specifications.

  • Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure parts meet required tolerances.

  • Adjust machine settings and controls to correct any deviations and ensure consistent production quality.

  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or material defects and take corrective action as needed.

  • Maintain accurate production records , including quantities produced, time spent, and any issues encountered during operations.

  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines to maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and maintenance teams to optimize workflow and resolve any production issues.

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.



The essential functions of this role include:
