Job Title: Carpenter

Job Description: The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to follow blueprints, building codes, and safety regulations. Install finish wall paneling and set cabinetry.

This role is eligible for company vehicle, fuel card, and per diem.

What You'll Do:

  • 25%: Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials according to project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions.
  • 25%: Install frameworks such as walls, floors, and doorframes, as well as fixtures like cabinets, shelves, and molding. Repair and replace damaged structural elements and fixtures.
  • 20%: Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle in good working condition.
  • 10%: Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and project requirements. Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and team members to complete projects efficiently.
  • 10%: Adhere to OSHA workplace safety guidelines and regulations.
  • 5%: Travel to and from jobsites on their own while maintaining punctuality. Overnight travel required.
  • 5%: Other duties as assigned.
  • Working Hazards: Works in an environment with potential exposure to fumes, dirt, noise, equipment movement dangers, vibrations, dangerous chemical/solvents, electrical shock, and inclement temperature extremes.
  • Physical/Mental Exertion: Ability to perform heavy physical labor exerting up to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis and up to 50 pounds of force on a frequent basis performing such tasks as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping. Ability to drive for extended periods of time each day with possible overnight stays.

What We're Looking For:

  • Education: Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Requires valid driver's license, state-issued CDL preferred.
  • Technical Abilities: Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and other structures, good mathematical skills and mechanical abilities. Ability to perform manual construction work and equipment operation.
  • Autonomy/Direction: Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
  • Tools and Equipment: Ability to perform manual construction work and equipment operation as described. Knowledge and experience with computer programs (Procore, Outlook).
