We are seeking a skilled carpenter with over two years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings, expertise in various carpentry techniques and tools, strong problem-solving and math skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
**Responsibilities**
+ Construct, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures.
+ Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
+ Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures/fixtures.
+ Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
+ Perform framing and rough carpentry, as well as trim and finish carpentry tasks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to lift 50lbs.
+ Ability to work in various weather conditions.
+ Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
**Work Environment**
+ Work in a commercial construction environment with a team of 3-10 people on-site
+ Standard working hours are 7 am-4 pm, Monday through Friday, with variations possible throughout the season or project as needed
+ For certain projects, you may be required to travel to locations such as Ames, Des Moines, or Huxley, IA, with the option to ride in a company van if you live near the Ames shop
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
