Job Title: Cable Puller

NSC Staffing is hiring a Cable Puller to support new ship construction work. This role involves cable placement, pulling sheathed cables through ducts and stuffing tubes, and moving materials and equipment in a shipyard environment. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work under direct supervision while following technical instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pull and install cables in shipboard cableways using approved methods.
• Push steel ribbon (fish tape) or rods through ducts to guide cable installation.
• Attach and pull wire or cable through ducts manually or using a winch.
• Properly secure and band cables after successful cable pulls.
• Move tools, materials, and equipment as needed; lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Follow detailed instructions from supervisors and technical documentation including blueprints and manuals.
• Monitor work areas for hazards and report or escalate concerns appropriately.
• Use communication devices to coordinate with team members and ensure safety.
• Comply with shipyard and organizational safety and quality standards.
• Support other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Must speak and read English fluently.
• Basic understanding of standard power tools and safety equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent vision and attention to detail required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work at heights up to 50 feet.
• Must be able to pass background check for access to shipyards.
