Insight Global is looking for a Product Design Engineer to support their client in the metal cutting and manufacturing industry. This person will join the Customized Design team specializing in milling product. They will coordinate with the manufacturing team as well as customers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Utilizing NX design software to generate engineered solution manufacturing process drawings for carbide turning and milling insert products.

Provide design feedback and guidance to manufacturing, pricing, and sales personnel.

Provide engineering design support for Standard Product team.

Provide engineering design support for the Metal Cutting Lab.

Create reverse engineering requests to the Metrology Lab.

Support manufacturing around modernization data and classification of product design.

Skills and Requirements

1-5 years of experience using 3D design software

oAutoCAD preferred

Background in a mechanical environment OR similar (think left-brained person able to think analytically or logically)

Associates degree or higher in related field

Strong communication skills this person will be communicating with customers and manufacturing department Bachelors degree in related field

Metal cutting or machining experience (CNC)

NX or Creo experience null
