Polisher and Buffer**
**Job Description**
As a Polisher and Buffer, you will begin in the grinding department where you will use a hand grinder to smooth rough edges and achieve a polished metal finish. You will cross-train in basic fabrication, which includes cutting metal to specific lengths using a tape measure, operating a brake press, spot welding, buffing, and racking for paint. You may also assist in other departments such as assembly, packaging, and paint as needed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Smooth out rough edges and polish metal using a hand grinder.
+ Cross-train in basic fabrication tasks such as cutting metal and operating various machinery.
+ Assist with spot welding and buffing.
+ Rack items for paint and help in assembly, packaging, and paint departments as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience, education, or hobbies.
+ Experience with grinding, particularly with sheet metal.
+ Proficiency in using a tape measure and understanding basic math.
+ Experience with hand and power tools, welding, and fabrication.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.
+ Experience in reading tape measures.
+ Experience with hand and power tools.
+ Completion of shop classes such as welding, automotive, woodworking, or machine/tool.
