Laborer**
**Job Description**
Join our production team to assist with material handling and general labor duties. You will start at the bagging area, utilizing an automatic bagging and shrink-wrap machine to ensure accurate product loads. Inspect and recycle broken pallets upon completion of loads, lifting up to 50lbs individually. Operate a sit-down, uni-carry propane forklift to manage large glass material loads. Consistently contribute to other areas such as sweeping, shoveling, bagging, and trash management.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist in material handling and general labor duties in the production team.
+ Operate automatic bagging/shrink-wrap machine to ensure accurate product loads.
+ Inspect and recycle broken pallets as loads are completed.
+ Lift up to 50lbs individually for pallet inspection.
+ Operate sit-down, uni-carry propane forklift to handle large glass material loads.
+ Contribute to other areas including sweeping, shoveling, bagging, and trash management.
+ Potential growth into plant roles such as compounding, mixing, and hopper filling.
+ Ensure hoppers are filled to correct levels using three tanks for glass production.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in forklift operation is required.
+ Experience in heavy equipment operation is a plus.
+ Previous experience working in a dirty environment is preferred.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in construction, production, general labor, or material handling.

**Work Environment**
Work in a large, open area that is loud and dusty due to material run-off. PPE is required, including steel-toe footwear, which is provided along with Hi-Vis vest, green shirt, mask, and gloves. Shift times available are 7am - 3:30pm and 11am - 7:30pm, Monday through Friday. The building is shared with progressive rail, and while tight-knit corners outside exist for heavy equipment operators, contractors will not be required to work outside.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakeville, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
